This year marks the tenth annual US Whole Grains Month celebration put on in September by the Oldways Whole Grains Council.
The theme of the event changes each year, and this fall the WGC will be rolling out the red carpet and rewarding consumers for their participation in a wide range of whole grain challenges. Throughout the month, consumers will be asked to complete tasks such as making a new whole grain recipe, finding a product that utilizes the Whole Grain Stamp, or responding to a survey question about their favorite ancient grain. For each challenge they complete, participants will be entered for a chance to win various whole grain prizes which include whole grain products, tote bags, rice cookers, and five Grand Prize cash awards. The WGC encourages you to join in and spread the word about whole grains on social media in September using #WholeGrainsMonth
