The Oldways Whole Grains Council, based in the United States, celebrates whole grains with a nationwide Whole Grain Sampling Day campaign on the last Wednesday in March each year.
In most years, schools, grocery stores, health centers, restaurants, universities, food banks and community centers around the country participate by offering live sampling events, workshops, and other activities that day. This year, many of the planned activities had to be moved online in an effort to maintain social distancing but the day was still a success.
